Which he did come back on Monday so my mind is officially back to mid gear instead of running on high gear the whole time. He came back and looked at everything I had accomplished and said wow...I don't know if that was a wow "he did all of my tasks 100% wrong" or a wow "he did all my tasks 90% wrong." I'll give myself the benefit of the doubt and go with 90% wrong!!!
So the next thing on my agenda is giving myself a new look. Something that I can stand behind and something that I will be known for. Since I graduated from FSU in political science and not fashion, this is actually very difficult for me. So I consulted a friend of mine who DID graduate from a school in Fashion design.
There are two new styles that I'm trying out and I think I might have found something that people agree is "me." What ever that means I guess.
Anyways, here is the first. It's a spin on a classic from the 40's. The three piece suit.
Now, this pic is from my sister's wedding (she looks absolutely beautiful) and for some odd reason, all of us except her are making faces in every pic. Not for any reason, just always doing something weird I guess.
The thing about the three piece suit is that if you do it correctly, no one knows that your wearing it until you take your suit top off and then their like...WO there's another layer under there! It's quite interesting.
The other style I'm trying to decide on is the more intellectual bow tie. Now this is a hard one. I wore one on Sunday (pics not included) and people thought it was awesome...well, unless they just flat out lied to me at Church, but then we have a different set of problems.
But, I went out to Men's Warehouse and one of the young ladies there was helping me pic out a couple. So I now have a blue one and a silver (looks white) one. So, from what I've been told the bow tie is the hardest thing to tie. Those rumors are true. I tried last night and it took me 15 minutes to realize that the instructions I had were confusing. I will figure this out.
But Sunday after church I got a call from a friend that I hadn't talked to in probably 3 years. That weekend was when the Scouts were down in Union county for their annual massive camp out on a friend's acreage. One of the most fun campout's since they're like family for all of us. So I immediately hoped in my jeep and drove out of town to meet them.
I'll tell you, it's been 3 years since the last time I was out in the woods. I mean far enough away that no one could find you...well they could, but it'd be a search party.
I missed it so much. I used to spend so much time in the woods that I always took it for granted. But something about getting out of the city and into some mud, it just helps me relax so much.
After that, I just feel like all of my problems are going to take care of themselves and I need sit back and enjoy the ride. Life is too short for worrying all the time.
Not to mention that yesterday I had a customer (woman...of approximately my age) tell me "you're very cute, you know that?"
I didn't know how to respond, but say "your total will be...." Yea, I get down to business when I'm at work.
But I'm also getting flying stars in my cooking "class." Jenny had me cook stuffed shells last week. All by myself. My mom tasted them the next day and asked me which restaurant I went to. "Chef Boyarde's...as in Chef Boy are de surprised it's my cooking?"
I guess I never knew that cooking could be fun. I always saw it as a hassle and thus stayed to cooking the box stuff. Never as good.
On the good news. It's been exactly a week since I injured my foot on my epic 15 mile jog. It's almost healed, so I went on a small jog last night, it feels so tight today, so I'm going to massage it loose a little before I have to go to work and walk on it all day, but I think it might be ready for a 16-18 mile jog soon. We shall see I guess. I just want to get back on my jogs, it's hard to clear a mind when you can't talk to too many people, or go and take your frustration out on your body.
But real quick. I want to say how proud of Erin and Alison I am. They went on a 8 mile jog on Friday night. That's awesome for them. They are just starting out so that is quite a long distance for them. So keep it up ladies.
CORRECTION: Since writing this post, Ms. (shall not be named) contacted me and notified me that she has been running her entire life. Actually, a direct quote: "I've been running since you were in diapers." Wow, scary thought. lol. So slightly less awesome, but still proud of them.
Anyways, off to work I go? Yes the ?
"When I walk on by girls be looking like d*** he fly
I pimp to the beat, walking down the street in my new la freak, yeah
This is how I roll, animal print pants out control
It's Red Foo with the big a** 'fro
An like Bruce Lee rock out the club, yea"
LMFAO "Sexy and I know It"
(yes I just used that as my quote of the day)
