THURSDAY...THURSDAY...THURSDAY!

You read right ladies and gentlemen. It's THURSDAY! / my only day off till the huge sale at the store this weekend where I will probably wish that I was still unemployed after running around helping everyone and anyone. But, I like my job so I can't really complain.

Anyways. since it's Thursday, it's time for some political conversation...one sided conversation. Today's topic? Newt Gingrich in the republican polls. This is huge.
Today in Iowa Newt (who I am on a first name basis with...of course) had 32% of the voters and next closest was Romney at 19%...WHAAAAAAAATTT?????
This is one of those things that if you would have asked me a month ago, I would have told you never could have happened.

But how did we get to this point? If I do recall correctly, when Newt entered the election, he was a far shot from even being considered for something like President.
Then Rick Perry developed a bad memory and a case of Footinmouthidous (a disease I am very familiar with) taking him down to 3rd and bringing up a new contender...Herman Cain.
Herman was a front runner for this and in my mind, still is.
But then allegations of Sexual Harassment (false allegations) plagued Cain and no matter if he did it or not, his numbers dropped. No where near as much as Perry's did, but enough to put him behind Romney and bring up Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich.

So what do I think about all this bouncing around in the Republican ballot? I like it. So far it's staying clean and none of them are really throwing much mud at each other anymore. I hate it when politicians throw mud, makes me really want to vote for the other person.

I still don't know how I feel about him. He has a great record politically. but I think he has too much baggage and that is the reason why he is no longer in the House of Representatives. I think that he does stand a chance, but anything is better than what is going on now. I just hope it's not too late to undo everything that's already been screwed up.

You know what I love about Politics? How people like Gingrich and Cain can come from nothing and be able to run for the most powerful office in all of the world. It makes it feel like a person like me has the potential to do the same. Whether or not I actually get into politics is something completely different. I will admit that I have been feeling the urge to run lately. But I don't know if I want to put my whole life in the view of the world. It's trying, not only on the person, but on their family as well. I guess it's something that I will have to take up with my future wife as to whether or not we want to do that to ourselves.

I know most people don't share my love for politics. It's something that you really have to love. But here is my prediction for the election of 2012. Gingrich/ Cain. There you have it, on record. Lets see if I am right.
